Large/Chassagne/Debuis of Jeremie
Posted by: William W. Large Date: May 26, 2001 at 23:06:15

My Name is William Large. My father is Herve' Large of Jeremie, Haiti. I am doing research on several families from Jacmel and Jeremie. For starters, can any one tell me the origin of the Chassagne name? My Chassagne family tree looks as follows:

1) Numa Chassagne + Theano Dubis
2) Numa Chassagne II + Marguerite Jerome
3) Odette Chassagne + Camille Large
4) Herve' Large + Diana Widney Wells
5) William Wells Large

Does any one have any more information on the Chassagne family?

Also, as far as the Large side of the family is concerned, my family tree is as follows:

1) Jacques Large + Sanite (?)
2) Mathiew Large + Henriette Ambroise
3)Camille Large + Caroline Levy
4) Eugene Large + Anita Desplan
5) Camille Large + Odette Chassagne
6) Herve' Large + Diana Widney Wells
7) William Wells Large

The Large family was from Jacmel. Does any one have any more information on Jacques Large? Does any one know where the Large name originates? Please advise. Also, if any one has information on the Debuis family, it would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.-William
