Hey there,

I was looking through the browser and I stumbled upon your message. I'm responding because I have several Williams in my family. My Surname is Jaboin, but my father's mother's name is Williams. I don't know the whole story, but what I do know is that her mother gave my grandmotherís surname to her. According to my grandmother, she believes that her mother came from Jamaica. The reason that my grandmother has the surname William is because her father, a Mr. Pierre-Louise, never married her mother. So my grandmother's mother gave all her children her name, Williams! My grandmother, Lousia Williams is one of 5. Her siblings are Rosie, Vava, Nina, and Closaire. All of which married except for Vava.
