Claude de Rossignol de la Chicotte lived on Saint-Christophe(st.Kitts)before the English deported all French off that island and sending them to Saint-Domingue. settling in the district of Artibonite later the district carried name of L'Etable, as most of the district were in the possession of the de Rossignol. the male lines acquired new titles were added to the exiting surnames and titles. These titles were used to distinguish the new lines of the family.
