Prevost, Haiti? to Charleston
Posted by: Beth Browne Date: August 30, 2000 at 09:03:56

There is some evidence that my Prevost ancestors went to the Charleston area from Haiti during the late 1790s or early 1800s. My grgrgrandfather was Joseph Prevost who was either born in Haiti and brought to Charleston when he was very young or was born after his family immigrated to Charleston from the Caribbean, probably Saint Domingue. I am trying to find some proof of the the family's immigration and some of their true history before coming to Charleston.
