Origins of Smith family in Haiti
Posted by: Tania Smith (ID *****1680) Date: July 09, 2012 at 08:39:56

My name is Tania Smith and I've been trying to find the origin of the Smith family name in Haiti. Getting asked a million times how I'm Haitian with the last name Smith has pushed me to want to dig deeper in the origins of the name.

The only thing I know is that My great-grandfather was Jamaican and the name was passed down from. Does anyone know of any Jamaicans that settled in Haiti long ago with the last name Smith? Or of any Jamaicans that settled in Haiti period?

Thanks for your help,

Tania
