Haiti to New Orleans: Pinckard, Steele, Clancy families

Looking for family information for Steele and Clancy families from St Saint-Domingue(Haiti) who relocated to the areas of Tchoupitoulas, Metarie, and New Orleans shortly before the Bookman/Toussant uprising and had the following occupations: Bookprinters, Musicians, teachers, and were affiliated with the Royal Academy of Arts.

Any information about remaining descendants from Haiti would be appreciated, as well as pre-independence family history. The family was warned by Boukman to leave the island prior to the uprising. I believe there may have been a connection between Boukman and the Steele family (who were reputed to have been printers/bookbinders).

My Grandmother's name was Metamarie, her mother was Capitola (Chapitoula) Clancy. Her mother was a Steele and her father was a Parker. They ended up in Ohio, but I believe that for at least 2-3 generations they were in New Orleans (1749-1808) prior to migrating up the Mississippi to the Ohio River Valley.

They were abolitionists, but definitely not with puritan leanings since they were notoriously progressive for their time. Any information would be helpful. May have been associated with Picard/Pinckard families while in Haiti/New Orleans. Any information on Picard/Pinckard/Parker families with children named Azariah or similar would also be appreciated.
