Lazare or Lazarre family of Cap-Haitian...

Hi--I don't know if this will be relevant, but I have an ancestress, Marie or Madeleine Lazarre or Lazare who married Pierre Garreau at Cap Français (now -Haitien), St. Domingue (now Haiti), with at least three children born there: Pierre (1717-1769), Renée (1726-1776)--my ancestress-- and Françoise, + 1749. All returned to the Garreaus' native Nantes, in the west of France, apparently fairly young, marrying there and raising their families there as well.
Pierre went on to a carreer in the law, practicing in the Parlement de Paris; quite a prestigious position of the day. Renée married René Le Tort, sieur des Perrières, also a lawyer and a judge, but at Nantes. It is from the Le Torts that I descend.
Any extant Lazarre families of Haiti would, of course, have had to descend from a brother or cousin of Marie (Madeleine) Lazarre, but at least that gives an idea of how early the name can be found at the Cap. (I estimate she was born around 1695, but it is so far unknown whether in France, St.Domingue or elsewhere.
I'll be following this string with interest to find out more!
