I am in search for anything on the origins of Denizard. My family comes from Puerto Rico, where the Denizard name is very uncommon. The only places I've heard of it are in Haiti, which I was so surprised to find a town with the name, and in France. All I know is that my grandfather is Angel Rafael Denizard, and my great grandfather, Amador Denizard, whom did not divulge any information about the family and so we haven't been able to do any family tree work on that side, nor do we know what connections there are to Haiti or France. Interested to know if there is any known Jewish link?
