There is a Robin family, who originally came to Louisiana and settled in the Opelousas, or St. Landry Parish, of Louisiana during the early 1800's or in the late 1700's. Members of the Robin family can be found living in Jeanerette, La. where there is a car dealership named, Robin Motors of Jeanerette, La, which is in Iberia Parish, and there are Robin family members living in Henderson, La, which is in St. Martin Parish, and also St. Landry Parish, La. Is this the same family?
