Paultre & Wadestrandt family

I am looking for information about John Wadestrandt (late 1700), apparently a slave owner in Louisiana USA. Someone from the Paultre family did some research on him and I am a descendent of the same family. I am trying to find out how they moved to Haiti or any other information about this family.
