Unfortunately, we have never heard anything about Jean Sannian or John Sarnia being in Cuba. But if you are interested in The Lebanese (or Syrians) in Haiti, there is an excellent article by Brenda Gayle Plummer, entitled, "Race, Nationality, and Trade in the Caribbean: The Syrians in Haiti, 1903-1934," International History Review 3 (October 1981): 517-539. It deals with a lot of economic history and persecution of Syrians in Haiti during that time period.
