Hello,

I just learned that my grandmother's name was Josephine Noisette, from SC. The Noisette's I have been able to find from there seem to descend from Philippe and Celestine Noisette. A french man and free black woman from Haiti. They moved with 6 or 7 children to South Carolina in 1794. He had to call her his slave to be together, and he emancipated her and their children before his death. I have found several Celestes and Josephs since but cannot find the full lineage to tie everyone together. Would love to share what I have so far.
