I'm interested in your surname Marchegay. I have a Marie Louise Marcheguy who served as sponser for the baptisim of Jean Louis Desarzans. (it appears Jean Louis Dezarzans was an alias, his real name was Jean David de Laizer). Francois Martin, or Justine Baquie was the mother. They both came to New Orleans from Santo Domingo in 1809. Any information or direction would be greatly appreciated!
