Nicholas Hargrave

My forefather was Stephen Marion Hairgrove who was a Captain in the war of 1812. I traced his ancestory and found out that our name has changed since my family came over from England. Nicholas Hargrave was the earliest ancestor I could find and he was born from about 1444-1503,in Warley and Wakefield, Yorkshire, England. He died on 1534 at the same place. He had 4 or more children, one being Richard Hargrave who I trace my heritage to.There were many more Richards after that and somehow the name got changed from Hargrave to Hargrove then to Hairgrove I am thinking this happened through misspelling along the way.
