Jesse Hainline (1789-1865) Kentucky
There are a number of postings at various locations that show Jesse Hainline dying March 1865 in McLean Co., Illinois. This is my gggrandfather and I have seen a copy of his will which was filed in Montgomery County, Kentucky. He was buried in the Hainline Cemetery near the village of Levee, south of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. There is documentation by at least two people who have visited his gravesite and seen his stone.
This Jesse Hainline was the son of George Henline/Hainline Sr. (1762-1850) and Hannah Dumford (1766-1838). He married Charlotte Duncan in 1813 in Kentucky. George and Hannah died and are buried in Tazewell Co., IL per cemetery records from that area.
George Henline/Hainline was the son of Johannes Valentin Henlein and Catherine Kuhn (Anna Catarina Kuntzen).
To the best of my knowledge, Jesse never left Kentucky at all.I suppose it is possible he visited his family who did move to McLean and Tazewll Counties in Illinois, but it is rather doubtful.
Perhaps this is of no importance to anyone other than myself, but I just wanted to set the record straight for future researchers.
