HAIN / DALRYMPLE

Trying to identify the parents of John HAIN born abt 1814 in St Andrews Fife SCT, his parents recorded as Robert HAIN (farm servant) and Elizabeth HAIN ms DALRYMPLE in his death certificate. John HAIN was a farm servant then carter then drayman in Perthshire then Glasgow; he married Catherine WATSON d/o Thomas WATSON and Barbara COMB abt 1842 in Perthshire, probably Dunbarney. His name is recored as John HAYNE at the baptism of their first child.

Robert HAIN may be related to but not a son of Robert HEAN or HAIN (Farmer or Ploughman) and Margaret GOURLAY who married 13-7-1782 St Andrews, rather than the David HEAN or HAIN and Catherine MELDRUM family who tenanted Balmullo farm in Leuchars, and Balgove and Claremont farms in St Andrews.

I'm wondering if Elizabeth DALRYMPLE was the one born 22 Aug 1787 at Craigrothie, Ceres, Fife to David DALRYMPLE and Elspeth WATSON.
