Yep, we are related alright. I thought she was confused about which John Hale was married more than once. She thought I was talking about a John Hale that was back a couple of generations from the one who married Clara Rhodes. I haven't verified any of this information yet, but someone on one of the Haile/Hale forums helped me get started by searching the census records for my father's home town. She found the record of his parents, and of his father's parents. One of these days, probably after I retire in 10 or 15 years, I will do my own research and verify everything. Not enough time for that now.
