Hi , Stephen , I will only answer one question , I always thought that the John Haile , that was at the " Battle of Kings Mountain " was my John Haile of 1743 , son of Nicholas Haile III but upon looking closer it must have been John Haile "Hale " B:1766 , Rowan County , North Carolina , son of Nicholas IV , B: 1724 , Hailes Fellowship , Baltimore , Maryland , who was the son of course Nicholas Hale III , and had settled in Eastern Tennessee , and died in Jonesboro , Washington County , Tennessee in 1807 . This " John Haile " was the only one that could have been there on account of location . So now I'm still trying to find my John Hale's whereabouts at that time . I belive that this John Haile at Kings Mountain was listed as deceased at the time of his father Nicholas Haile IV's " Will " was opened which would place John's death before 1807 . Jack Haile
