My research shows Jonathan, Williamson and ARis were all from Essex Co, VA. They are all named in their father's will, which was witnessed by a Thomas Hale. There was another brother who did not move to Halifax. I believe that at least one descendant moved to Smith County, TN as he signed a power of attorney to Giles Hale in 1820 and said he was living in Smith. He allowed Giles to sell his share of the land he inherited.

There was another Hale line in Halifax: that of Thomas & Patience Hale. He was from Nansemond Co (or at least a 1763 deed said so) and I haven't been able to show he's related to Williamson, etc. although they were somewhat close to each other.
