Hello Cindy; I am following the Haid line started in Hesson,ON in 1847 by Anthony Haid. Anthony came from Sigmaringen about 60 km SSE of Stuttgart in Germany. I only know of his parents John Haid and Magdelina Hank from death/marriage records.I visited Sigmaringen but found no trace of Haid.I am not aware of any siblings but it is quite possible there are as one child families were the exception at that time.
My research on Haid is fairly extensive with many photos (including Anthony)which I am prepared to share if a link can be established.
I suggest you try and find a copy of death/marriage certificates and/or census data to try establish place of birth.Birth records from chuches for their children may also give clues.I have found Haids from other parts of what is now Germany that are not related.Haids from the area around Sigmaringen at that time are mostly Catholic although they may have changed after emigrating.
Regards
John Mahler
