HAHN Dies at Plymouth Hospital Early Wednesday From Injuries The death of John F. Hahn, who was injured while working near Hamlet, Ind., last Thursday, occured Wednesday morning at 4:15 o'clock at the Plymouth, Ind., hospital. Mr. Hahn was employed on the signal maintaining force on the Pennyslvania railroad and was stationed near Hamlet. While riding on a motor car, a pointed bar was jarred off the car and one end struck a tie, forcing the other end through Mr. Hahn's groin. His condition was serious. Full details of his death have not yet been learned here. The body arrived in this city Wednesday afternoon at 3:50 o'clock, accompanied by the deceased's widow and baby daughter, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Hahn, of near Bucyrus, and Mrs. Hahns parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Slemmer, of this city, all of whom had been called to Plymouth at the time of the accident. John Franklin Hahn was born at Nevada May 18, 1903, the son of Caleb and Della Swinehart Hahn. He was aged 28 years, 11 months and 21 days at the time of demise. Mr. Hahn was married March 21, 1931, to Miss Helen Slemmer, in this city. Besides his bereaved wife and parents he leaves a nine-weeks-old daughter, Barbara Jean Hahn, and the following brothers and sisters; Sheldon and William Hahn, and Misses Hazel and Martha Hahn, all residing with their parents, near Bucyrus; Earl Hahn, of Nevada, an Mrs. Arthur Walter, of Bucyrus. Mr. Hahn was preceded in death by a half-brother, who was killed in action in the World War in 1918. The young man is a grandson of Mrs. Mary Swinehart, of South Seventh street. Mr. Hahn was a graduate of the Nevada High School in 1921, and for the past nine years was a signal maintainer on the Pennsylvania railroad. He attended the Nevada Lutheran church. He was a young man of sterling qualities and his untimely death is mourned deeply by innumerable relatives and friends. Bringman & Co. are in charge of funeral arrangements.
