Just read your posting and found it interesting! I am tracking a Benjamin Haygood/Hagood & family. I find them in 1830 Lauderdale CO Ala census. Listed with Benjamin are Males 2 under age 5, 2 males between 5/10, 1 male under 10,2 males 15/20, 1 male 45/50,1 female 10/15, and 1 female 45/50,
Lauderdale Co Ala Stephen Haygood married Elizabeth Boston 1/26/1831 (son of the above Benjamin)
1850 Carroll Parrish LA I found the death record of a Benjamin Haygood died Jan 1850.age 66 (I beleive this is the above mention Benjamin in 1830 Lauderdale CO ALA census)
Also listed in this census (1850 LA) are Stephen Haygood age 42 born Tenn. Occupation Planter, Elizabeth age 42born Tenn, B (Benjamin) 18 born Miss, Ermand ? age 8 (female) born LA, James age 39, born Tenn, James Gamble age 30 born GA, wife Rebecca age 33 born Tenn, (Sibling to the Haygood brothers) PT Haygood age 26 born Ala, Benjamin age 23, born ALA, (this is the line I'm tracking) Mordica age 21 born Ala.
Possibley they could have been cousins to your line. Diane
