Dallas Texas Hagood- What's my history?

My name is Mike Hagood and I live in Dallas TX.
All I know is that my great grandfather(Roy Hagood from Allen Texas) ran away from home when he was 15. He jumped rail cars for a few years then joined the navy. He would never talk about his family even to his wife. Sad to say he died three years ago, and we(my family) know nothing about our history. Is their anyone out there that can help.
