Gideon Hagewood (Later spelled Haygood, then Heggood) found on the 1850 census in Saluda Regiment, Abbeville, SC.
Does anyone have any info on this family. He was born in SC on Feb 21, 1824. He married a Rachael Ann ?? Nov 1844
Later moved to Chambers co. AL
could not find on the 1840 census anywhere. could be in the household with parents..
I found a Richard Hagewood on the 1840 Abbeville, SC census though. with a male about Gideon's age in the household. I wonder if this could be the father of Gideon????????
