Debbie:my great grandfather, James Smiley (or Smylie) hadonly one brother Joseph who died youngand single as a result of maltreatment in a Union Prisoner of War camp.James Smiley's father was Robert DanielHagins, born 7-20-1820.Robert had a brother James S. Hagins (S. name is unknown to me).ThisJames S. was born in about 1815 in Lancaster or York County S. C.Where was your James Smylie born?
