Below I had posted a note regarding Charles R Haggerty of Davenport, my grandmother's second husband. I was informed by a family member that he possibly was born in the U.S., maybe at Quincy, Illinois and that his brother James ran a foundry in the 1st half of the 1900's at Quincy, called Quincy Castings.Charles worked on the Mississippi riverboats as a steamfitter in the early 1900's , then as a pipefitter. He died in the early 40's . James probably died in the late 40's , or early 50's . There were also other brothers, we believe, but we don't know their names.
