I am descended from Jesse Alexander Harris and Nettie Jane Haggard through their oldest daughter, Mary Maude Harris Lee, my maternal grandmother. There are several Harris researchers who have posted about these families on the Harris GenForum board, in case you want to check that forum out.
Here are the basics:
Jesse Alexander Harris, b. 1864, d. Dec. 24, 1929, Shreveport, LA (buried at Shiloh Cemetery, Texarkana, Arkansas.)
Jesse' parents: Edmond C. Harris, b. ca 1832, d. ca. 1912 in Bedford Co., TN, buried in Old Salem Cemetery; m. 1862 Sophronia Elizabeth Tolbert,daughter of Silas Teeter Tolbert and Rebecca ?; Silas's parents James Rawlings Tolbert and Levina/Lavinia Reed. 1880 census shows Edmond C. and Sophronia Harris as having these children:
J. A. Harris, son, age 16
Mary C. Harris, dau, age 13
J. K. Harris, son, age 11
E. R. Harris, son, age 9
Martin Harris, son, age 6
E. C. Harris, son, age 3
Jesse A. Harris m. Nettie Jane Haggard, b. May 12, 1869, Wartrace, Bedford Co. TN, d. March 3, 1910, daughter of James Richard Haggard and Mary Myrtle Reidinger (Ridinger/Ridener/Ridner). Nettie Jane died in childbirth, and is buried with her parents in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Fairfield, TN. Jesse appears to have moved to Decatur, AL, possibly remarried for a brief time, and may have had another son with the second wife ca. 1916.
Children of Jesse A. and Nettie Jane Haggard Harris. All lived to adulthood except Katie, and all are now deceased:

Mary Maude Harris m. A. S. Lee b.1894, Tullahoma, TN d. 1979, Texarkana, TX
