Mike, Fr. Joseph Benjamin Hageman, was a first cousin of my father, Edward W. Hageman, Sr. Fr. Joe died August 30, 1991 in St. Claire, Wyoming, and is buried at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Botkins, Ohio. He was the son of Benjamin and Mary Theresa Koenig, and one of 4 children. Benjamin's father was Henry Hageman, who was born on January 26, 1837 in Onnabrick, Germany and died on January 1, 1909 in Coldwater, Ohio. There were 12 children of the marriage to Caroline Boeckman, and my grandfather was among these children. Henry's father was Joseph Hageman, born February 6, 1800 in Germany and died on February 6, 1883 in Mercer County, Ohio. He married Anna Maria Elizabeth Hamesauth and they had 3 children. Does not sound like we are related, but this is as far back as we have been able to get. Any additional information anyone may have will be appreicated.
