My grandmother Adeline Hagel, daughter of Nicholas Hagel, was born in Vallejo, California (about 1880). My oldest brother suffered from asthma all of his life. I had asthma attacks until I was 30 years old, but since have not had any real problems with asthma.
I would very much appreciate hearing from anyone who may have information on my great grandfather, Nicholas Hagel's ancesrty. My grandmother, Adeline, suffered from schizophrenia and spent much of her life in a mental hospital.
