Lorenz Hafner came from Schwabia (southwestern) Germany in 1852 at age 23. Came from Hamburg to Philadelphia. He came with brothers on the same ship, don't know name of ship or number or names of brothers. Settled briefly in PA, then moved west to OH. From there he went to southeastern MN where he married Maria Beck (not sure if he met her in PA, OH or MN, or possibly came over with him, though I don't think so). In 1859 he bought 40 acres on South Ridge in LaCrescent, MN. He had several children, I have the names somewhere. One of them was also Lorenz. I'm looking for siblings and ancestors of the elder Lorenz. Also would like to know where Maria Beck was from. I have a picture of Lorenz and Maria. I also have a photograph of the record of their marriage from the Houston County Coutrhouse in Caledonia, MN. Any info appreciated. Joe Hafner
