Haffley Family Tree

Our name is spelled slightly differently now. However, in times past some relatives spelled it with an e.Most recently my great uncle Frank Haffly who died in 1973 in Paducah, KY.According to our family bible my great-grandfather (John) came to this country at 5 years of age, circa 1850 from the Black Forest, Germany with an immigration arrival in Boston, MA.From there he eventually made his way to Bird's Point, MO and then to Cairo, IL where he owned a butcher shop.He married several times but no information was ever found as to what happened to some of them (i.e. divorce, death). He had three sons Noah, Joseph, and Frank and one daughter Addie. All are deceased now.Noah and Frank had no sons.Joseph had four sons and two daughters Joseph, John, Robert Sr., and William, Althiea, and Clorinda.Survivors include Robert Sr and William. We half-heartedly tried to trace our family tree several years ago and came up with nothing beyond Boston. For some reason, my father's family did not keep in touch with most of their relatives, and for the most part still do not. That tends to make find information difficult to say the least.
