There is a photo here of the headstone for William and Sarah Simons. Also, the wills for James Hadlock, dated 14 November 1678, and James Jr., dated 8 September 1714, are in the descendants report if you page through to generations 4 and 5.
I'm a descendant of the "other" Sarah, the one that married John Marcy.
I have to admit I've been a little puzzled by which James is supposed to be her father. I don't think I agree with the family groups that are described in the descendants report on this site. Neither of the wills supports the relationship of Sarah Hadlock to John Marcy.
This site also, at generation 5, shows James Hadlock marrying Sarah Draper in 1669. This is fine - I can support that in the Roxbury records. But the birth of James is shown as 1654-1655. Not likely...
And too I have not found his birth in the Salem records, whereas the three children of James Hadlock and Rebecca Hutchinson are easily found there. So I'm not really convinced the father of Sarah Hadlock who married John Marcy is the daughter of James Hadlock who died abt 1714.
So I guess more questions than answers! Good luck to all - one of these days perhaps we'll figure this out!
