Plummer, Peter Hadley et al
I received a note from a fellow who had recently acquired an album of CDVs (cartes de visite: small business sized photographs from the 19th century) and some tintypes that include several Hadleys and related folk, mostly from Goffstown, NH.He plans to sell it on eBay but contacted me to see if I knew any Hadleys who might want it.
I have contacted the Goffstown Historical Society and some Hadleys I know, but nobody has the $285 he is asking.Although these aren't my ancestors, they are pretty close, so I'm somewhat interested.I'd like to see a Hadley buy it, or maybe a group of us get together and buy it.I have no financial interest in this transaction; just trying to get Hadley stuff into the right hands.
I've attached the original note from the owner and my attempt to identify who these people are.
If you are interested in buying the album or in joining a group to buy it, please contact me directly at [email protected].

My attempt to identify the subjects in the photographs:
While I don’t recognize all of the names, my first guess would be that this is the family of Plummer Hadley (Jr.) and his wife Polly (Hadley) Hadley, 1771-1861, son of Plummer and Mehitable (Messer) Hadley, who moved from Hampstead, NH to Goffstown, NH some time before the birth of their first child in 1766.My guesses on these individuals follows. The numbers with BK, such as BK1069, are my database numbers so I can easily find them again if needed.
Plummer Hadley (Jr., BK1100) (1771-1861), father of 12 including Peter E., George Plummer, William, Eliza, and Ann Hadley, possibly the ones in your list.If so, William (1813-1889), Eliza (1819-1896), and Ann (1825-1858) were unmarried.
Plummer Hadley (BK1100), ancestors are:
-Plummer (BK65) and Mehitable (Messer) Hadley
-George (BK60) and Elizabeth (Plummer) Hadley
-George (BK66) and Sarah (Wiggins) Hadley
-Samuel (BK77) and Jane (Martin) Hadley
-George (BK90, 16xx-1686, of Ipswich, MA) and Mary (Proctor) Hadley
Plummer Hadley (BK1100)’s other children that appear to be in your list:
-Peter Eastman Hadley (BK1140) (1806-1875), who married Mary Elizabeth Cochran in 1845.The Geo. P. Hadley in your list, might be their son, George Plummer Hadley (BK3386) born 1846; or it might be his uncle, listed below who was born in 1811.
-George Plummer Hadley (BK 1143) born 1811, might be the Geo. P. in your list.
-William Hadley (BK1144), 1813-1889, unmarried. He held a captain's commission in the state militia. (History of Goffstown, NH p. 194).
-Eliza Hadley (BK1147), 1819-1896, unmarried.
-Ann Hadley, (BK1150), 1825-1858, unmarried, a school teacher in Goffstown, NH
Captain Peter E. Hadley is Peter Eastman Hadley (1786-1872) (BK1069), son of Ebenezer (BK890) and Hannah (Eastman) Hadley. He served in the War of 1812 and held a captain’s commission, so he was known as Capt. Hadley (History of Goffstown). He was not married. His ancestry is:
-Ebenezer (BK890) and Hannah (Eastman) Hadley
-Joseph (BK303) and Martha (Gile) Hadley
-Joseph (BK88) and Hannah/Anna (Flanders) Hadley
-Samuel (BK77) and Jane (Martin) Hadley
-George (BK90) and Mary (Proctor) Hadley
So, if I have identified the right Peter E. Hadleys and my family info is correct, the two Peter E. Hadleys are uncle and nephew.Captain Peter Hadley’s sister, Polly (BK1067), married her 3rd cousin, Plummer Hadley Jr. (BK1100). (Through other relationships, the two Peters are also third cousins, once removed.).
The David B. Hadley, might be BK1191, born in 1808.I don’t have a death date, but he apparently died, unmarried, in Cambridge, MA. (History of Goffstown, NH).This David B. Hadley was 3rd cousin, once removed, of Plummer Hadley (BK1100).
