Thanks to all who replied to the earlier message. The Stockport/Heaton Norris Hadfields are firming up a little. I now have Joseph Hadfield, wheelwright d. 1848 aged 67 and Mary the wife of Joseph Hadfield wheelwright d. 1842 aged 56. This makes Joseph Hadfield b.c. 1780/1 and Mary b.c. 1785/6. This ‘fits’ Joseph, son of John & Mary Hadfield bapt 14/1/1782 at High Street Chapel Stockport. On the face of it Joseph m. Mary Ollerenshaw 17 Feb 1801 at Stockport seems a possible marriage but Mary Ollerenshaw was born 9 July 1784. Unless the age at death of Mary d. 1848 was incorrectly recorded this one seems open. Any ideas?
