Joseph Hadfield -- married Ellen Newton 1776 Glossop

I found a birth record of a Joseph Hadfield in Glossop 1758 with a father's name of Thomas. If anyone has any research back further on this line and can help me validate that this is the correct birth record for the Joseph who married Ellen. I am also looking for info on Thomas, his father...if in fact this record is correct.
