I am trying to track down Hadfields in New Zealand, especially descendants of Harry Roodhouse Hadfield and Mary Anna (Reynolds), of Awaroa, Nelson, NZ. Harry died in 1914 in Blenheim, but there are still Hadfields at Awaroa. I met some of them before I knew we were related. I have a large list of names which I know belong to relatives, but I have not yet managed to link them all.
Mary Anna (Reynolds) Hadfield was the sister of my great grandmother.
I know the Revd Keith Hadfield is still alive aged 95, I believe, here in Wellington.
I would like to find where the ones I met, Howard and his late brother Lester (died 1986) and their father at Awaroa fit into my family tree.
I don't believe these Hadfields have any close connection with the famous (in New Zealand) Octavius Hadfield of Otaki, but I may be wrong.
I would like to share information with you.
