Nathan,

My family originates from New Cumnock, Ayrshire and the circumstances that you described in your message posted on the Haddow message Board (Genealogy.com) are coincidental to the circumstance of my Great Uncle Donald Haddow.

See if any of this rings a bell. My Great Uncle Donald served with the Royal Navy during WW2. He was married to a woman named Alice, who's father was the Harbour Master at Troon. The couple immigrated with their family to Australia in the 1950's. I believe the family originally settled in Sydney before moving onto Perth. Alice and one of the girls was killed in a car accident.

Let me know if this has any relation to your family and if so I have a great deal of information on the family line dating back to the 1670's.

Cheers

Ken Haddow
