Howdy,
My Haddock family line comes from the Haverhill, MA
Haddocks. Looking over your website, it appears that
you have not found any connection between the two. I
ask this because you write of the Haddocks of Leigh,
and in the Biographical Encyclopedia of
Massachusetts of 1879, it claims that the descendants
of the Haverhill Haddocks were also descendants of
Adm. Sir Richard Haddock. It is the only such evidence
known, and for years I've been trying to confirm or disconfirm it.
I'm wondering if you have any definitive proof of Sir
Richard's descendants solely being the Haddocks you
wrote about; in other words, if you can account for
Sir Richard on down, that would then close the door on
any possibility that the Haverhill Haddocks have any
relation to at least that part of the Leigh
Haddocks.
I'd appreciate any help you could give me with this. Thanks.
