There are several men named "Joseph Beatty/Beattie Hadden" in various U.S. and Irish records. One man of that name lived and died and is buried in Orange County, New York. His family and collateral relatives were the subject of my post about Haddens of Orange County, New York.

Another man of that name was the son of Joseph Hadden and Jane Beatty of Lough Park, Goland townland, Carnteel parish, County Tyrone, Ireland. This "Joseph Beatty Hadden" emigrated to the United States and lived in Louisiana before moving to Texas, where he served in the Confederate army, married Elizabeth Giles, had a number of children children, died and is buried.

Grave and burial index of Texas State Cemetery in Austin, Texas:

Full Name: Joseph Beaty Hadden
Location & Section: Confederate Field, Section 1
Row: F
Number: 45
Reason for Eligibility: Confederate Veteran
Died: August 27, 1916
Buried: August 29, 1916

I hope this helps!

Regards,
Annie
