John Hadden married Hannah Jackson in Southampton (England) in 1744. They were the parents of Colonel John Hadden of the 11th Regiment of Foot, Major General James Murray Hadden whose journals written for several years from the time of the battle of Freeman's Farm in 1776 can still be found in libraries, and Lt Robert Hadden of the Kings Own Foot.
I have recently written a book about the family one of the daughters of this family married into and there is included in it a section of everything I was able to find about the Hadden family.
