My g-grandmother was Anna Hackworth (b. March 22, 1856) in Lawrence County, Ohio. She married Creighton L. Steed in Lawrence County, Ohio on October 6, 1874. Anna died December 9, 1917 in Lawrence County and is buried at Woodland Cemetery in Ironton, Ohio. Many years ago, a family member told me that Anna's father was Pleasant Hackworth, however, I cannot find any information that would logically match up Anna with any of the Pleasant Hackworth's that I can find in Lawrence County. In the 1870 census, she is listed as a servant for Randal and Harriet Stiver in Aid Township, Lawrence County, Ohio. The 1880 census indicates that both of her parents were born in Ohio. Does anyone have any information regarding Anna Hackworth's ancestors?
