I am searching for my great grandfather Benjamin Hackney. I have estimated that he was born around 1888. He married Cora E. Bradley or Adams and they had my grandmother Barbara Ruth Hackney. This happens in Texas (my grandma was born in Cleburne, TX in 1926). Now, I have considered that Cora and Ben didn't actually marry. She was a nurse and had two daughters by a previous marriage (to Walter Adams.) I have heard that Ben was good with Horses, he may have been a horse trainer, breeder or vet. He may have had two brothers. He may have been from Missouri, possibly Putnam County. As you can see, I have very little to go on. My grandmother didn't know her father. He died "in a mental institution" according to her. He may have had alzheimers. I am interested because it is a mystery but also because of the medical implications. Thank you so much and blessings!
