Hello,
I have a gggg grandmother Ellen (Nellie) born in 1779 in Accrington. She married a Thomas SAVAGE in 1798. Their first born son, my ggg grandfather was born in Oswaldtwistle. Maybe a connection? I also have another William Savage b. 1814 Oswaldtwistle who married a Mary Hacking in 1835.
You mention Hacking traits, what might they be?
