Mr. and Mrs. Herman Haberman Injured in Car Accident - Heron Lake, MN

“Habermans Injured in Car Accident - Mr. and Mrs. Herman Haberman (Irene Brady) of the Heron Lake community are in the Mountain Lake hospital suffering from serious injuries, and Jack Wisdorf, and Mrs. Strickler, a sister of Mr. Haberman, are bruised and considerably shaken up as a result of an auto accident the quartet experienced early Monday morning near Mountain Lake.
The party had left Fulda early in the morning to be in Mankato in time for the 9:00 o’clock funeral of Miss Mabel Aurit, a cousin of Mrs. Haberman and of Mrs. Jack Wisdorf.The accident occurred at day break on the west outskirts of Mountain Lake; the accident was with a truck.The Haberman car was damaged, with Mr. Haberman, the driver, and Mrs. Haberman, who sat behind him, getting the brunt of the impact.The passengers on the right hand side of the car escaped with less injuries.
Mr. Haberman was badly hurt and rushed to the Mountain Lake hospital for emergency treatment and an x-ray examination.The examination disclosed critical internal injuries, and a special was rushed down from the cities for a kidney and spleen examination.Mrs. Haberman was also taken to the hospital where examination disclosed a broken arm and knee cap, and a bruised head.Her condition was reported as not serious but painful.
Mrs. Strickler had planned to enter the hospital at Mankato for a several weeks stay but under the conditions she returned to Fulda with Mr. Wisdorf.Mrs. Wisdorf, who had been in Mankato since Sunday, went to Mountain Lake immediately, and members of the family went down from Fulda as soon as they received word of the accident.”
