My Great-Great Grand-father was named Samuel Habegger who married Anna Zimmerman born to John Zimmerman & Elisabeth Wenger of Bern Switzerland and came to America in May 1832. They made their home in Baltic, Ohio and two sons were born to them (Daniel & William). Samuel was killed by a falling tree and the two boys went to live with their grandfather John Zimmerman and their names changed to Zimmerman. I am a descendent of Daniel who had eleven children who mostly settled in Kansas and Oklahoma. I'm looking for any information on Samuel Hagegger who was more than likely from Bern, Switzerland area, as most immigrants were Clanish back in those days. John Zimmerman settled in Raggersville, Ohio, and the descendents of Zimmermans from Bern list Anna with two children and father unknown. Perhaps I can fill that part in, as we should be Habegger's. Thanking you for your help, I am sincerely, john L. Zimmerman(Habegger).
