My great-great-grandmother was Elizabeth Norwood, born Sep. 1836 in Alabama. She married William (P.) Hill about 1855; they had eight children, including my great-grandmother Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" Hill, who married John Forrest Amos. Mollie and John Amos lived for a time in Franklin County, Arkansas, their first two sons were born in Charleston. After that they came to Choctaw Nation, IT, which later became Haskell County, OK.
My great-grandparents lived in the Tamaha area, more specifically the Garland area, sometimes known as Taloka prairie.
Who was Elizabeth NORWOOD's birth family? What happened to her husband William Hill--did he die in Alabama? Why did this family leave Alabama? Where did Elizabeth Norwood Hill die, and where is she buried? In 1900 she was living with my great-grandparents in Choctaw Nation, IT, in what later became Haskell County, OK. I can't find her in the 1910 census, so I assume she died before 1910?
