I am very interested in learning more about my Romany heritage. Can anyone suggest books that may tell me the TRUE story of the Romany (history and heritage)? Maybe also a book that will help me to understand the Romany culture today (especially in North America)? I would also be very interested in knowing if the Romany have been able to keep their language alive and, if so, I'd like to be able to learn all of the language that I can. I'd even like to teach it to my neices and nephews (maybe even grandchildren if I'm so blessed someday).
How about it? Can anyone reading this help me out?
