Still looking for a female Gyger that arrived in Chicago sometime around March of 1882. I have a copy of an article that states "J.C. Gyger went to Chicago last week to meet his sister just arrived from Switzerland, whom he had not seen for 30 years. When he last saw her she was only seven years old. Miss Gyger will remain here for the future."
I have seen nothing that indicated she went to Bureau Co., IL where J.C. lived. I wondering if someone has a 37 year old female Gyger that mysteriously pops into their tree somewhere along the line - maybe living in the Chicago, Cook Co. area.
Thanks for any help,
