Owen Watson Owens (1820-1891) married Cynthia A. Bridwell on June 21, 1855. This is the only marriage he had that I can find. He was single in 1850. So, There is no way that any of his daughters from this marriage would be a parent of O. J. Gyger. However its possible that Owen W. Owens and Lousia Gyger had Finley Gyger out of wedlock in 1839. Owen would have been 19 years old at the time and Louisa would have been 23 years old. Could be a possiblity. It would certainly solve a family mystery.
I'm going to look up Finley Gyger's death certificate in Bedford and see if it mentions parents.
