James Gwinn-Greenbrier WVA-- 1793
Posted by: Pamela Zull (ID *****0446) Date: August 09, 2006 at 18:47:00

James Gwinn is listed in the following abstract taken from the early court minutes of Greenbrier VA (later WVA):

1793
William GRAHAM against, in trespass, A & B, James GWINN, Griffin SOWARDS, and John CARLLYLE. Jury: John GLENN, David JAMISON, Henry POPE, Walter CROCKETT , Henry COUNSE, Phillip ELLISTON, Jonathan MATTHEWS, Robert ALEXANDER, Wm. CALLISON, Wm. CRAWFORD, Peter BLAKE, and Geo. PATTERSON,. Verdict for plaintiff was twelve pounds and cost.

I was wondering if anybody knows what the relationship to Griffin Sowards and John Carlisle would be. Thanks for any help. Pamela Zull
